Happy December Cookie Friends! The last COTM of the year is usually a holiday themed flavor and this one was a new addition to the holiday lineup last year and it was an instant hit. We named it Candy Cane Forest because our team loves the movie Elf (I have a little bit of an obsession with Bob Newhart, but maybe that’s not as important to how Candy Cane Forest came to the holiday lineup)
We had nine flavors in 2020, remember adding 2 or 3…guys, it’s been a long couple years. But I remember thinking in 2020, “if the world wasn’t sideways, it’s not a hard leap to get to 12 days of Christmas.
Get to the fall of 2021, we’re in our shop about 6 months and I’m over here trying to add a few new flavors. All of the sudden, I’m like “how did it take 7 years to do a white chocolate peppermint cookie?” while drinking a white hot chocolate from our friends next door at PS Gourmet….
We took our basic sugar base (which is really next level, if you ask me) and added white chocolate chips and crushed peppermint. As soon as it came out of the oven, we collectively swooned and we said “Candy Cane Forest” as we ate it.
For us the holidays are so busy and can be a little stressful in the shop managing events, online orders, corporate orders and walk in traffic. We try to manage it and have some silly fun while we can. It’s a lot to do 25% off our revenue for the entire year in about 5 weeks, but somehow we make it happen!
We know a lot of you are getting our cookies as gifts for the first time and COTM is a super fun gift. We really hope that you will enjoy all the flavors we send, but we also want to you to keep an eye on social so if there is something you know you will not enjoy that you can go to your portal and skip a month (you can do all kinds of stuff in your portal, if you need help - let us know we’re around!)
As we close another year, our sincere thanks for keeping us going and gifting our cookies to your loved ones or to yourselves. We truly appreciate the opportunity to keep sharing our cookies with you.
